SAFETY IN YOUR HOME


Every year accidents kill thousands of people, injure millions more, and destroy buildings, land and valuable possessions. Many of these accidents are caused by people who are careless or by defects in buildings and machines. If a man runs out into a busy street and is hit by a car, his carelessness has caused the accident and no one but he is to blame. But it is different if a ceiling falls on him when he is in a building. 
The ceiling may have been constructed carelessly or the owner of the building may have neglected it. Then the builder or the owner is to blame. Many accidents could easily be prevented if simple rules of safety were followed in homes, schools, offices, roads and public places....read more.
